The 27 First Warning Weather Center NowCaster program is designed to run on Pentium class PC's running Windows, 98, ME, 2000, XP or NT4.0 Although the program may run on a 486 based machine, it may be too slow to be useful. NowCaster will not run on a Macintosh, Linux/Unix, or on a Windows 3.1 machine.

Minimum System Requirements:

• Pentium 200 or faster CPU (Pentium 333 or faster preferred)
• 64 MB of RAM memory (128 MB preferred)
• 256 color/8 bit or higher display (16.8 million/24 bit preferred)
• 640x480 display resolution, 800x600 or higher preferred
• Windows  98, ME or NT 4.0 operating system Windows 2000 preferred
• A dialup or full time Internet connection such as DSL or LAN
• A JAVA enabled web browser (Internet Explorer 4.01 or later is required)

You can have both web browsers installed on your PC if you prefer. Performance gains will be seen with Internet Explorer however, so we recommend installing it even if you prefer to use Netscape Communicator.
